Mariëtha successfully completed over 700 pieces of Srilanka Appliqué and 50 Molas. In South Africa, Srilanka Appliqué and Mola represent two distinct types of appliqué. As a member of The South African Quilters' Guild and a SAQG Accredited National Quilt Specialist in Mola and Srilanka Appliqué, Mariëtha serves as a teacher recognized by the SAQG. She falls under the SAQG Teachers umbrella within the Country Group "GP" and also belongs to JQG Teachers.
